the perfect pink

Lately I have been on the hunt for the perfect pink lipstick. I didn't want it to be too dark or too light. I already have a pretty whitish light pink and a rich darker fuschia. So I needed something kind of in the middle but still a bright and opaque rich color. And today I found it! It's maybelline's fuschia fever! This lipstick is comfortable and while it's not super long lasting, it does hold up pretty well with only a few touch ups needed throughout my day.

My Vanity, Makeup collection & Storage

Hey dolls! Today I'm going to be sharing with you my favorite nook in our apartment and a place where I spend a lot of my time, my vanity table. I love scouring and searching youtube and blogs for ideas on makeup storage. This is my set up hope you enjoy taking a peek!

the right section of the vanity, where I store my brushes, lipglosses & pencils.

my main storage is this big 3 drawer container purchased at target. It's a lot bigger in real life than it looks in the pics. blushes & bronzers are in the top drawer, eyeshadows are in the second drawer and in the bottom drawer is powders, foundations & concealers. On top of the unit are office folder holders that I use to hold my palettes and a little lipstick holder that contains my favorite lipsticks. To the right is another storage drawer set that's smaller purchased at the container store. The top drawer contains NYX jumbo eye pencils and varois thick eyeliners. The second drawer holds my lipsticks and the bottom drawer holds mascaras and eyelid primers. Next to the little storage unit are my sprays, urban decay de slick, my brush cleaner and beauty so clean sanitizer.

I store my brushes in two of these glass square containers filled with floral beads purchased at my local craft store, moskatels.

inside one of my vanity drawers I keep my eyelash supplies, grooming tools and mirrors.

And in the other drawer I store my weave, makeup sponges, remover wipes and various hair accessories.

DIY brown sugar hair treatment

Want deliciously soft, supple and shiny hair? Look no further than my simple brown sugar at home hair treatment!! All you'll need is a deep conditioner (I prefer tre semme's platinum strength renewing deep conditioning hair treatment) and brown sugar. mix ingredients together until smooth and apply to wet hair while you're in the shower. Let sit for 5-10 minutes while you shave! Hope you love this little treatment as much as me, my hair is so soft now and happy :)

quick makeup haul & review

Hey y'all its been forever since I did an actual product review so I figured since I spend so much time watching and reading other blogs I may as well just work on my own blog!

Today I popped into my 2 favorite stores ulta & target! and of course I didn't leave empty handed! I picked up NYX lip liner in nude pink & NYX lip stick in sparkling rose at ulta. And at target i grabbed two infallible eyeshadows by loreal, one called amber rush and another called continuous cocoa.

I'm loving both of these... liner in nude pink is great for my everyday look, I've used it beofre and I like to pair it with MAC honeylove. The diamond sparkle lipstick is also fabulous... it's a sheer glimmery pink perfect for layering. It also looks great on top of nude pink and then with a gloss on top!

from left is LOREAL infallible's amber rush and on the right is continuous cocoa. I really really love amber rush b/c it's super pigmented and rich. I found that it can also be used as a beautiful highlighter on the cheekbones. continuous cocoa is okay. I expected it to be much richer and darker so I was a bit disappointed but I'll make it work in some way. I think cocoa def needs a good eyeshadow primer under it like urban decay!

2013 I'm HERE

HEY YALL! well well well... I'm back! SO everyone knows I've been in LA for a year now! It's been a wild ride. But here I am in LOVE and on top even after experiencing a lot of insane shit. lil wayne got my old phone number this year, and we became friends. I met a lot of celebrities and had many real housewife run-ins. haha. But there were also some not so fun experiences. But I moved to la to follow my dreams and because I love sunshine and laying by pools. AND I'm doing just that. 2013 is my year baby and I couldn't be more excited.
