I went to college and followed the normal path and got my bachelors degree in English. I was set to pursue journalism and my eventual goal was to work at a women's magazine as a beauty editor. I wrote for my university's school newspaper and completed several editorial internships and realized that I wanted to do something else and follow my heart's true passion instead of taking a newspaper job that was offered to me.
After graduating in 2010 with a bachelors degree in English from university of North Carolina at Greensboro I decided to go to beauty school at Aveda Chapel Hill to become a makeup artist! After that I moved to Los Angeles where I currently reside. I have worked in makeup professionally for about 2 years doing looks for events (like the grammys!), fashion photography and headshots. My makeup aesthetic is a look I like to call natural glam. I like to make my clients look like themselves but hotter.
I have always loved makeup and the creative process of transforming the face into something more beautiful than anyone could imagine. This blog is where I combine my love of writing and my love of makeup, hollywood, and style. Oh and I love to give advice too! Enjoy!
