- hormones are a huge factor when it comes to skin. from breakouts to wrinkles, they are the main culprit. So try a birth control pill if you can. And avoid foods with crazy hormones like soy products.
- the purer the food, the better the skin. A diet with unprocessed foods results in plump healthy beautiful skin.
- moisturize no matter what your skin condition. oily skin too! If your skin is oily use oil free moisturizers. And aging skin needs moisturizing everything!
- try taking some vitamins to help balance out skin. Zinc absorption is critical for clear skin. certain herbs and extracts are also super beneficial. I'm also convinced that EVERYONE should take fish oil!
- wash your face twice daily! find the right cleanser for you!
- ALWAYS wash your face and remove your makeup at night. Even when I'm about to pass out on a late night I still make sure to schlep my way to the sink for a good scrub.
- use masks and at home peels several times a week
- Sunscreen. please above spf 20. and no tanning beds. I used to work at tanning salons and I can tell you that people DO NOT age well that tan on the regular, I've seen it!
- Pores can't really shrink so don't buy into that hype. just love your pores the way they are and keep 'em clean.
- eye cream is a must. start using eye cream and products with AHA's and retinols for your face in your 20's but don't go over board with products. navigate what your skin concerns are and tailor your regimen to those concerns
I could go on and on but I think that's a good list for now. If you have any questions or want to know exactly what products I use and recommend then email me or comment below.
